If you're looking for info on the P990i, click here
The P1i is essentially an upgrade to the popular P990i smartphone, but re-packaged in a smaller case, looking more like a slimline mobile phone. It has several technical enhancements over the older P990i, including:-
- a 3.2MP camera
- faster processor (both run a low power ARM9, clocked at 208 MHz but the P1i is visibly faster)
- More memory (128MB RAM, compared to 64MB in the P990i)
- a few more configuration options, such as customisable 'today' screen.
- Up to 15 short-cuts on the main screen.
- However, some commands now *only* work via the touch screen.

Sony Ericsson is a joint venture established on October 1, 2001[1] by the Japanese consumer electronics company Sony Corporation and the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson to make mobile phones. The stated reason for this venture is to combine Sony's consumer electronics expertise with Ericsson's technological leadership in the communications sector. Both companies have stopped making their own mobile phones.
The company's global management is based in Hammersmith, London, and it has research & development teams in Sweden, Japan, China, Germany, the United States, India and the United Kingdom. By 2008, it was the third-largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world after Nokia and Samsung.[citation needed] The sales of products largely increased due to the launch of the adaptation of Sony's popular Walkman and Cyber-shot series.
I have won Sony Erricsson P1i during the ccnp training.
