• alt.privacy - Low traffic newsgroup about privacy issues, mainly press releases, but does contain chat.
• alt.security.pgp - Alternative newsgroup for discussion on Pretty Good Privacy (PGP)
• comp.security.announce - Low traffic newsgroup on security announcements.
• comp.security.pgp.announce - Low traffic newsgroup for PGP announcements.
• sci.crypt - Quite a technical newsgroup for discussing the mathematics and theory of cryptographic topics. (reasonably high traffic)
• uk.politics.censorship - UK based newsgroup discussing censorship in the press and political issues. (very low traffic)
